This past week we had our first taste of Winter in Central Utah. The temperatures dipped below freezing and we lost quite a few tomatoes in our garden. We noticed the next day that all of our neighbors had taken the time to cover their tomatoes the night before the storm. A lesson learned for next year in watching for the first frost. The locals say this was a few weeks earlier than usual, October is the normal time. With a bit of chill in the air it gets me excited for the holiday season which is not so far off. In preparation for the winter months I purchased a pair of insulated coveralls from IFA that have proven to be priceless for doing the morning farm chores.
