Jolynn was inspecting my handy work in the vegetable garden. It didn’t take long before Brianna was in the freshly watered rows and up to her ankles in mud. She was as happy as could be and Max thought it was pretty funny too.

Both Max and Brianna have had fevers this week and are not feeling so hot. Still they love to go outside and help Mom and Dad with the weeding chores. We planted a lot of flowers this week too around the front yard and hope to have things looking sharp for the Summer.

Dan brought us over his old food storage wheat that had gone bad. We took it over to the feed mill where Lane can chop it into our chicken feed for us. The wheat is no longer good for baking or eating but my chickens will get some nutrients from it. It makes you feel good any time you can avoid throwing something out. The barrels will come in handy for storing the chicken feed as our flock grows.

Such cute kids!!
Wow, the garage is gonna be so emply without all those barrels. Just one of the many changes I will notice at Mom and Dad’s when I’m there this summer I guess.
Look at that cute pregnant woman in the background.
I can’t believe how big Briana is getting. It doesn’t seem like THAT long since I’ve seen them all but I’ve been looking at everyone’s pictures today and all the kids are looking so much more grown up than last time I saw them.
I love that you let Briana get all muddy. I wish I was as laid back as you are.
Maybe someday, I’ll learn.
I thought that same thing, Kate. I’d be freaking out. GET OUT OF THE MUD! AAAAAAH! And thinking what a pain in the rear it was going to be to clean it all up. She looks like she’s having fun though!
No offense but, I’m sick of looking at your stinkin’ garden. Where’s the blogging? We need more pictures of our cousins!!!!
Your garden looks fabulous! Mine is doing well except the wind blew over the orchard gate a few weeks ago and the geese got out and ate all the big leaves off of every bean plant! AAaarg! I had seventeen rows of beans and I was planning on filling many jars! The plants are still alive and are growing back, but we will have to wait and see if they will be too slow to produce now! Anyways, we love your website! I am glad that you guys love to garden and raise animals with your kids! A great combo!!!
We can’t wait to see your new little one when he or she comes!!!

I was so excited to find you and sister B recently! I have loved looking at your site and seeing your sweet family! I knew you would be a great Mom! It’s going to be fun keeping in touch this way. Can I just say you have an amazing garden!! I tried it for the first time this year and planted zucchini and tomatoes. I know, it’s small, but you have to start somewhere right!
I hope it works! Check out my blog anytime!!!
