BYU Football with Alyssa

Alyssa had been bugging me to take her to a BYU football game. When I told her about the deals on BYU apparel at the final home game of the year she decided that was the game she wanted to attend. She bought something for each of her siblings at the game. Cosmo the cougar came within about 20 feet from us and helped to get the crowd revved up. Alyssa was too chicken to get a picture with him so I snapped this shot.

When we got home from the BYU game we were pleased to find Jennie and Jodi at our house. It was a central meeting point for their kids to play on a Saturday and Jolynn was gald for the diversion for the kids. It was fun to visit with them and to play with all the cousins. Here is the girls toting their new babies around the kitchen. We always eat good when the girls come around.

Happy Birthday Alyssa

Alyssa wanted a princess cake for her birthday. Jolynn came through big with this very elegant white cake with a heavy helping of pink. Alyssa was happy with the results and we had a fun fiesta party with her favorite seven layer dip and quesadillas.

She got some great gifts from her friends like another webkins critter and lots of jewlery. Jolynn and I got her this pink Trek bicycle again with the no-flat tires. Alyssa thinks the wicker basket on the front is the best feature. For lunch I went to her school and ate in the cafeteria as part of hero day at her school.

Alyssa Gets a Kitty

Posted by jonlee  Published in Alyssa Lee

alyssakittenwitchy.jpg

This week one of Alyssa’s egg customers gave her a little kitten. Alyssa is so excited to have her very own cat. It will live outside and hopefully eat the mice around the barn. She has decided to name the kitten “Witchy” because she’s black.

Max thinks he can have a kitten too. I think one cat is more than any family needs. The baby bunnies are getting fat and are starting to get their fur. It looks like they will all be brown like their daddy “Browney”. Only four bunnies survived out of the six that were born.

Alyssa’s Makeover Sleepover

Posted by jonlee  Published in Alyssa Lee

alyssanails.jpg

Alyssa had a busy weekend this past week with three of her friends celebrating birthdays. The first was a makeover sleepover on friday night at her friend Brooklyn’s house. She had a wonderful time doing girly things and they all got press-on nails as part of the party. The next day she went to her friends Brittany and Sierra’s birthday party. They are twins that Alyssa pals around with at school. Their Grandma is one of Alyssa’s best farm fresh egg customers. Alyssa has been down with a fever the past few days but is looking forward to spring time. We hope to get some more baby chicks this spring as well as some baby geese and ducks, perhaps even a turkey.

The Princess Party

Posted by jonlee  Published in Alyssa Lee

Fun Birthday Party Treats

Jolynn worked very hard Saturday to give Alyssa and Hannah the perfect princess party. For an activity when all the girls first arrived they decorated foam purses with cute shapes and letters. Then they each made a charm necklace. The treats consisted of chocolate covered strawberries, candy dragonflies (dipped pretzels), heart and flower shaped sandwiches (Strawberry, Cream Cheese, Olive and Egg Salad), Cheese and Olive Kabobs, Cheese Crackers and Rasberry Punch with Vanilla Ice Cream floating in it.

The Princess Party Pinata

After the craft activities I took the girls outside to beat up on the princess pinata. Some of them were a little more aggresive than others. It didn’t take long until 9 petite princesses were scrounging on the ground and scraping wildly to see who would get the most candy.

To The Queen

You just can’t conduct a proper princess party without the obligatory teacup salute “To the Queen”.

The Princess Cake

Jolynn found a fun idea in a book for a princess cake with a tiara on top. Alyssa was thrilled with the party and was a very kind and thoughtful hostess.
