Summer Winding Down

Travis just started playing flag football in a city league. He has made some great new friends and is enjoying learning more about football. His coach is good to let every player try every position. He says he likes defense the best and wants to be a free safety when he plays for BYU.

Max fell asleep the other night waiting for me to read him a book. He had his first full day of pre-school (2 hours) and no nap. He passed out at around 7:30 pm so I just tucked him into bed. When he woke up he thought it was funny that he slept in his clothes. Hope Dallin doesn’t mind that Max was chilling in his baby swing.

My favorite time of year has finally arrived, home grown tomato time. I just wish they would hurry up and get ripe, I have 32 tomato plants in the garden and we had frost on the lawn yesterday. I mixed up a fresh batch of garden salsa with ingredients all from the garden (Onions, Tomatoes, Green Peppers and Jalapenos) it was delicious.

Did I mention my favorite time of the year – football season? Travis and I attended the first BYU football game of the year at Lavell Edwards Stadium. We have fun cheering on the team with Grampa Lee and Grampa Chidester. Jim and Barb were sitting next to us also. Thanks Barb for getting me the pork burrito from Costa Vida. Go Cougars!
